At the PFA board meeting held on the 21st January the PFA Board reviewed two expressions of interest to host the championships, one from France Petanque/AMA Alliance in Sydney and the other from Novar Gardens Petanque Club in Adelaide. Both were excellently prepared and met all the criteria required to host the Championship, making the decision difficult.
It was finally agreed to award the PFA Easter Championships for 2020 to 2022 to Novar Gardens Petanque Club in Adelaide. On the basis that the last three championships had been held in Melbourne and previous three in Sydney, it was felt that the time had come for it to be held in Adelaide. It was felt that this would be good for the promotion of the sport in South Australia, it was also felt that the move to Adelaide would encourage more players to travel to this different venue.
