STATE INTERCLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 RESULTS

 

The PWA State Interclub Championship was held at Bayswater Petanque Club on Saturday 23rd September & Sunday 24th September 2017. It was a great weekend of Petanque despite the rain and cold weather. It was amazing to see all the players defending their respective club; that weekend produced some good competitive games and the atmosphere was great. 

Congratulations to the winning team of La Maison De France, second year Club champion in a row. Thank you to all those players who participated in the Interclub Championship and well done!

SUPER 4 2017 RESULTS

The Super 4 2017 was played on the weekend of 9th & 10th of September 2017 at Camberwell Victoria. WA teams in both categories, had some ups and down, but did quite well. Had some close games against other states and managed to come third in the overall ranking in the Open and Over 60's. Congratulations to all the winners.

PWA STATE DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 RESULTS

 

PWA State Doubles 2017 was played on Sunday 27th August 2017 at MDF Lake Monger. It was a great day for Petanque and the weather was splendid, such a beautiful day that all participants enjoyed their games through out the all day.

PWA STATE SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 RESULTS

 

PWA State Singles 2017 was played on Sunday 11th June 2017 at Subiaco Petanque Club that was scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. But we had to amend it to one day Competition due to lots of request as some players would not be available to participate on Saturday. At the end of the close of registration date, we ended with a quite good numbers of registration. We had 18 Men and 12 Women Players. The weather was excellent and no rain as the weather forecast for Sunday. We were lucky for that day. During the course of the competition, we had some good and close games, especially those who stayed late, had appreciated a good final between Vickram Ramjuttun and Nuvish Atchamah in the Men's category, also Hina Vert and Sue Dauth . A special mention for a young girl in the name of Krishika Ramjuttun of 10 years old who competed with the adult, did make her way to be qualified in the Top 8 players. She played very well, but lost in quarter final. Keep it on Krishika and very proud of your performance. Congratulations to all and well done!

STATE MIXED DOUBLES 2017 RESULTS

 

The State Mixed Doubles was held on Sunday 28th May 2017 at Safety Bay Petanque Club.

We were lucky to have such a beautiful day, perfect for a Petanque competition. During the course of the competition, we had some good and close games - very competitive. All participants enjoyed their day and those who stayed at the end, had the opportunity to watch a great final between the teams of Hina Vert & Mathieu Faure-Geors and Joyce Anderson & Robin Anderson. The Anderson's team came from behind to win the competition and we were also amazed to watch a young girl in the name of Khrishika Ramjuttun who played with her dad (Vickram) did very well and came in third position to beat the team of Nuvish & Christine.

PWA State Veterans was played on 30th April 2017 at Clochemerle Club Guildford with a splendid, perfect weather.

Every participant enjoyed their games with a good spirit of sportsmanship and well disputed. Congratulations to all the winners.

PFA NATIONAL EASTER CARNIVAL 2017 RESULTS

The National Easter Carnival was held on 13th - 16th April 2017 at Caulfield Petanque Club in Melbourne.

It was a great success with over 50 teams competing in each of the competitions.

PWA STATE TRIPLES 2017 RESULTS

PWA State Triples was held on Sunday 26th March 2017 at Bayswater Petanque Club and the weather was excellent. Despite this year of having lesser teams taking part, had produced some good competitive games. That was good timing in preparation for some players taking part in the National/International Easter Carnival in Melbourne. We welcome two new players (Jaydon Lemarchand & Patrick Carver) who have joined Bayswater Club and their performance during the competition was excellent for their first competition, especially for a State Championship.

TRANS TASMAN 2017

The Trans Tasman Competition was held on 18th - 19th March 2017 at Easter Suburbs Adelaide, South Australia.

It was a competitive 2 day competition with the Australian team in the Open won against New Zealand by 10 points. And in the Over 60s, the Australian team lost by 2 points against New Zealand. 

Congratulations to the Australian team who participated and well done to the Open team and also WA players!

PWA STATE SHOOTERS 2017 RESULTS

 

PWA State Shooters was held on Sunday 26th February 2017 at Safety Bay Petanque Club. The weather was splendid in which the day went well and produced some good results. Congratulations to Damien Lazar with 35 points who qualified and will represent WA at the Easter Carnival in Melbourne. An unfortunate player, the winner of Mens Veterans (Anton Wieland) had missed it by one point with 34 points.
