INTERNATIONAL AUSTRALIAN DOUBLE CHAMPIONSHIP
The International Australian Double championships was held on 6th -7th February 2016 at Camberwell, Victoria.
Congratulations to Damien Lazar (from WA) and Matthias Laukart who came 1st place in the mens ranking (13-3). Well done boys!

PWA State Shooters at Subiaco Petanque Club on Sunday 28 February 2016:
Open’s Men Final:

In the Women Open Semi-Final, Mikella Letch-Johnson reached to 33 points, which is a fantastic performance. Her level is over PFA requirements of 30 Points.
Veterans Women Final:
Winner: Liline Degioanni
RunnerUp: Sue Dauth

OCEANIA PETANQUE CHAMPIONSHIP 2016
The Australian team participated in the Oceania Petanque Championships on 9th - 12th March 2016 in Vanuatu and did very well. It was very hot and there was difficult conditions and terrain. Unfortunately no medals for us this year but a few 4th places. Hina qualified with top points in the pointing and Eileen qualified too but both missed out in the next round. In ladies shooting Eileen came 4th and Delys 16th. Damien came 4th in shooting. Hina & Delys went thru to cadrage and played each other then Delys went on to to become 5th in the singles. Everyone bombed out in doubles but then everyone won their first games in triples. Then only Cate, Eileen & Cathy went on to become 4th. The men played the world qualifying games until 1.30am but sadly did not get through.

TRANS TASMAN CHALLENGE 2016
The Trans Tasman Challenge was held on 19th-20th March at Alexandra in New Zealand. The Australian team did their best and came 2nd place. The challenge was won by the New Zealand team. All teams played well and had competitive matches.

BEXLEY INTERNATIONAL TRIPLE 2016
The International Triple National Championships was held on 25th - 27th March 2016 in Bexley NSW.
Well done to all players participated from WA.

The State Super 4 was held on 24th & 30th April 2016 at La Maison De France Lake Monger. It was a great competition and well disputed.
The winners in the open category were:

The winners in the over 60 catergory were:
Team 2: Taia Bennit, Mary Anne Rath, Gilbert Baatard & Anton Wieland

The State Mixed Doubles was held on 21st & 22nd May 2016 at Safety Bay Petanque Club.
Despite the weather conditions, it was very challenging and the players did well.

PWA STATE SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016 RESULTS
It was a great weekend of Petanque at Subiaco Petanque Club on 11th & 12th June 2016 with an overall good weather, except towards the final end,with some rain. Finally the competition was completed on time before it started pouring down. The Final rounds in both categories were well disputed, that brought us with many close results. Congratulations to all and well done!
